My house,housing estates
Living in Great Britain and Czech republic is different. In Great Britain, there are lots of terraced house – it`s joined with one house on left and one on right side – line of houses. Semidetached house – it`s joined to another house on one side and detached house – it`s stands alone and it`s surrounded a garden. Terraced and semidetached houses have front and back garden. It`s beautiful when there aren`t any huge estates. Houses are made of red bricks. It`s typical for England, and I like it very much. Somewhere we can still find half - timbered houses with tatched roofs. The houses have usually 4 – 6 rooms, two floors. On the ground floor there are a hall, kitchen, living room with fireplace and on the first floor there are bedrooms and bathrooms. In England is typical too that every rooms have another color. In my opinion it`s because in Britain is normal rainy and cloudy weather. So people wants snug and sweeten their house, make them colorfully.
In the Czech republic only some people live in a house, much more people prefer to live in a flat. There is a lot of estates. You can find there a flatlet – 1+1, and a normal flat like 2+1, 3+1, 4+1 and also a rented flat. Estates are made of panels of cocrete. In Czech are typical for estates tall and gray buldings like „ rabbit – hutch. “ Estates consist from blocks of flats, playground, some greenery, but not a lot, supermarket or small shops on the ground floors in blocks. For example florist, tailor`s confectionary, tobbaconist`s, hairdresser`s… You can find there everything what you need for your daily life. There is also school for children and policlinic. But you haven`t any nature and clean air. I live with my parents and sister in a flat in one of many Prague`s estates.
Now I will desribe our flat. We have a larger flat 3+1. It`s consist of two bedrooms, livingroom with jetty, kitchen, pantry and ofcourse the bathroom and toilet. We live on the second floor from seven floors. When you come into the flat, you can see your specular reflex in the big mirror infront of you. On the right and left side are halls. When you go right throw the hall there is a big kitchen on the left. My mum says: „It`s the most beautiful place in our flat.“ An the end of the right hall there is a livingroom with jetty. The livingroom consist of two parts. The first is my father`s office and the second is a normal livingroom. My mother can cultivate flowers, because we have a jetty with garden furniture. Go back to the hall. On the left sid of hall here is a bathroom and toilet. On the right side there are two bedrooms. The first badroom is mine and my sister`s. In my opinion it`s the most beautiful place in our flat. Because we have pink and yellow colors on the walls with skirt. On beds there are happy cushions and green bedcover. And the last room which I will describe you is a room of my parents. They have violet colour on the walls, because it`s calmative color. I like our flat. It`s situated well on a subtopia of Prague and I can see through the windows nature reserve –Prokopské valley.
I think about why some people who prefer living in a town to coutryside. You can find a lot of positive and negative things, why live right here. If you live in city there is a lot of cultural and sport life. You can go to the cinema, theatre, visit exhibitions and also you can go shoping in a lot of supermarkets and shoppingcentres. There is a large number of everything what you remember. So you can choose what is the best for you. Every day you can met new people and make a lot of friends. If you live in a flat, you don`t have to take care about garden and house. You can go when you want to the parks. But especially on Sudays, parks are overcowded, because every citizen is looking for some green grass to stay to read a book or sunbathe. Parks are very dangerous at night. You can meet there strange persones in a group or alone. If you live in a city, you can`t have some animals, because you haven`t time to take care about them. You must be quiet if you live in a flat, because walls are as thin as paper. You haven`t privacy, your neighbours hear everything. So your music can`t be loud and after 10pm you must be quiet, because everybody wake up early in the morning and hurry to work. To live in a city is hurried, so you can feel depressed. It cause a stress and to much information around us.
People, who live in the countryside, they are healthier and they aren`t stressed about time. In countryside we can breathe clean air and around you is nature. You can walk to forest and for exepmle mushrooming and pick up medicinal herbs or just watch a life in natura. You live in your house with a swimmingpool. You can cultivate some vegetables and fruits. You can breed farm animals. So you have fresh milk every day for breakfast. You can have fresh eggs too. But you have to take care about house, farm and garden. There is only a primary school. So if you to want study, you must wind down to the city. It`s difficult to find here a job. So you must commute. When you want to buy something special, you must go to the city. Because supermarket has only the most important goods. At the end, you haven`t privacy, too. Village is small so everyone knows every other. You haven`t a private life. And you meet the same people every day for example in only one culture house or pub.
The flat of my dreams is a bigger flat situared in the center of city on an attic with modern design. It must be neer the park and playgraund. As big as for big family. Or I to want live in Finnland with my boyfriend. He was born there and he has there a family. We want to have a cottage with sauna neer the lakes. Our dream is breed a husky dog. But it`s only a dreams. I think that we will be happy when we find a flat in Prague for our family in the future.
